When used as an interface in audio electronic applications, this heat-resistant, vibration-control material minimizes microphonic influence. Custom-formulated material is firm, not "squishy," yet compliant. Use as an interface between component shelf and rack, between platform and shelf, under mass-loading weight, under small desktop speakers, wherever superior vibration control or decoupling is needed. Effective throughout a broad range of weight loads. 1/16" (1.6mm) thick.

Thin grungebuster Dots: Same as above, except 1/32" thick (.8mm). Use between constrained layer materials instead of adhesive for superior damping and wherever a slightly compliant decoupling interface is desired. Ideal as an interface between cones and component or shelf – placing a grungebuster Dot on the flat side of a cone absorbs vibration and allows the cone to work more efficiently. (Though rarely needed, all Thin grungebuster Dots are available with optional pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side, or on both sides by special order.)

What it is: Herbie's isolation materials are proprietary silicone-based vinyl elastomers with variable compliance and firmness qualities. The materials will absorb vibration with very little pressure applied, yet will handle a lot of weight. These compliant, non-vulcanized compounds are not dependent on a precise weight load to be most effective. They are equally effective under a wide range of weight and have little or no resonant "coloration." Invented and formulated solely for audio and video applications, these proprietary materials are unsurpassed in their ability to absorb microphonic vibrations and reduce audio distortion. Materials are smudge-free and residue-free, with excellent dielectric (insulating) properties.
