UltraSonic: the world's finest vacuum tube damper
Gently spring-tempered titanium C-ring delivers intricate detail and imaging, smooth and linear frequency response, highly faithful to the musical source. Custom-formulated homopolymer isolation pads absorb microphonics to provide a highly revealing soundstage with reduced grunge, glare and distortion. Fiberglass/carbon microfiber sleeves surrounding the pads enable a firm grip on the bulb glass. For continuous use to 525°.F (274°.C). Recommended for all audio vacuum tubes; scroll down for size listings.

* Tube diameters and shapes sometimes vary. To estimate your tube diameter, just place a wooden or metal ruler against the side of your tube and "eyeball" the size. Or measure the circumference and divide by pi (3.14). Tubes are listed above by widest diameter of the bulb glass; on some bottle-shaped tubes, damping instrument can be placed around the "neck" of the tube, where the neck meets the shoulder, allowing use of the next-smaller size damping instrument. For tubes that fall in-between UltraSonic sizes, smaller size is the default recommendation for straight-sided tubes (though either size will work); for bulb-shaped tubes, larger size is the default recommendation. Titanium C-rings can be bent to a somewhat smaller or larger diameter to accomodate variation in bulb diameters.
Additional information, including bulb sizes, on most tube types and brands can be found here:
Changing gear? UltraSonic isolation pads can be rather easily slid off one titanium C-ring and onto another (sizes Mini thru 60). If you need a different size than what you have, spare C-rings are available, so you don't have to buy a whole damping instrument to change sizes. Titanium C-rings are also a great upgrade for Herbie's discontinued Nickel-Alloy Damping Instruments (keep your present isolation pads and switch just the C-rings for a more full-bodied and linear result).
